We're Newcastle's leading Organic Food Store. We sell the widest range of local organic foods that our region has to offer. Our specialities include seasonal organic vegetables from local farms, a takeaway counter, and a full range of ethically sourced groceries.
Open 6 days a week were committed to offering the very best fresh foods at affordable prices. Over the last ten years we have built up a strong working network with a number of the highest quality producers and local farmers, and we treasure our loyal and growing customer base. We've been recognised nationally for our work. A Rick Stein Food Hero, we have been recommended by The guardian, The BBC and the Daily Telegraph. The Guardian seemed to like our local smoked cheese and red onion marmalade sandwiches the best.

Since then We’ve been commended by the Guardian good food guide and by Rose Prince of the Daily Telegraph. Back home, Living North Magazine called us an “organic haven”. Elaine’s cakes were featured in the Herald a christmas or two ago. Recently BBC Olive magazine featured us in their December issue and Rob’s also been on BBC radio explaining the technicalities of organic honey, and what makes our dirty carrots so vibrant and tasty.

Over the last few years we’ve responded to the increasing desire of our customers to shop smart and not only save money but cut down on packaging and food waste.
All our seasonal organic fruit and veg is sold loose, so you never need to buy more than you want. And did you know in our store a hand-baked fresh load, half a dozen local free range eggs and a pint of organic milk, all together, cost less than £3? We also sell commodities, such as porridge oats, loose at the counter, and regularly run half price offers, so you never know what bargain you might come across.

Visit The Honey Tree Store for the finest organic fruit & veg in the region. Fresh loose produce is available all week round. Veg bags are to order and are available for collection from after 3pm every Thursday afternoon.
